A very important phase of the raw textile processing is the preparation, monitored meticulously with the meter-counting and the assignment of an identifying lot.
The preparation is an optimization of the productive process and it consist in an assembly of more single rolls in a bigger one, the raw textile is made hydrofoil, impurity-free and ready to be dyeing and finishing.
The operations needed are: desizing, bleaching and mercerizing.
All the materials used in these operations have got the Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification, most are included in the GOTS 6.0 and GRS 4.0 certifications and in the ZDHC gateway platform.
- Cold-dyeing, at atmospherical pressure and foulard impregnation (pad-batch)
- Hot-dyeing, underpressure in closed system like jet or torpedoes (rope or beam)
Dyes are selected according to the latest European and international legislation.
Our machines, thanks to their high technology, are able to do all types of processing, from the most restricted to a bath of more than 1000Kg.
The different technologies allow to treat different types of textile, natural, synthetic or mixed
The process can be:
- Chemical by the application of chemical substances like softening, resins (easy care), nano-emulsions (easy stretch), anti-skid, water repellent.
- Physical by a mechanic action on the textile, the most frequently used are calandering, unshrinkability (Sanfor), grinding (with abrasive paper or diamond), brushing (ceramic or carbon bristles), crumbling effects (AIRO 24)
The finishing department carries out antibacterial treatments.
Sifta Srl is able to treat fabrics, from 900mm to 2100 mm, up to a temperature of 190°C
